Nickelodeon To Develop Domo-Kun Series

Recognize this brown, rectangular guy? He's Domo-kun, the mascot of Japan's NHK television station. Hugely famous among Japanese children and adults alike, he's been around for a decade. Now, according to C21Media, Nickelodeon is creating an "original Japanese cartoon series" based around him.

In any case, it's probably safe to call the show anime, given that they'll be working with an NHK affiliate to develop it. C21's article says that this is going to be the first time that a Japanese-produced series will air on Nickelodeon. Stranger things have happened, I suppose.

Additionally, Nick has partnered up with a 3-D animation studio to make an animated series based on Akihabara@Deep, a fairly new manga from the creator of Ikebukuro West Gate Park. It's being called "an edgy, colourful and fast-paced cyber-detective comedy/action/drama based in Tokyo's electronics district." Sure--but my main question is, how will it look in 3-D?

Powerpuff Girls Z To Air In Japan This July

While we still don't know when it'll show up in North America, the anime remake of The Powerpuff Girls will become a reality in less than four months, when it starts airing on TV Tokyo. Toei Animation, the studio behind the new series, made this announcement at the 2006 Tokyo Anime Fair.

Note: In a recent update, Toon Zone corrected PPG Z's scheduled air date (which is July, rather than April, as we previously stated). They also added that Powerpuff Girls Z will be at least 50 to 52 episodes long, but if it pulls in a big audience, it could end up running well past that.

That wasn't the only big news to come out of Toei's recent press conference, however. As reported by AnimeNation, they also mentioned that they have plans to create theatrical anime movie adaptations of three major franchises. The first is Pretty Cure: Splash Star, the sequel to the wildly popular Pretty Cure series (which is now licensed by 4Kids). The second is Clannad, a game from the creators of AIR. And the third is Rose of Versailles, the classic shoujo story that was originally made into an anime TV series way back in 1979.

Let see...what happened yesterday?

Yesterday:

Found a dead mouse on the basment floor. Must have starved to death. I felt a little sorry for it, it just layed there, motionless. The poor fellow. But then again.....HAHAHA SUCKER! That is what you get for barging into someone's home! Hahaha

Weird thing is that it was dead, laying out in the open...don't mice hide or something like that? Hmm....Well, I did find it on the 15th, and there was a full moon on the night of the 14th.....My mom says that weird stuff happen during a full moon. Dad was able to seal up the holes that he found on the walls with cylicone. So no more should not come in.

Today:

Nothing much happened today....acutally, nothing much ever happens during school. Oh well.

Letsee, anything else?

I don't talk much on Gaia now, I feel like people are ignoring me...maybe I need to find a new thread in there to hang out at....

Oh, I made a RP thread in Sanity Requiem. It is all futurey and that there is a problem that people can see spirits, they die a few days later. The images that I found for the RP are sweet! XD Took me awhile to find the best images. My first rp post in that rp is long, had to describe the cloning process....I would like the thank Biology for inspiring me to make that kind of a RP, it will be much fun making the impossible possible.

I changed the layout, it is from the anime Ghost in the Shell. Cool anime show, watch it every Sunday morning at 12:30 am.

Don't have any school tomarrow, YAY! =D Which means that I will be able to stay up late tonight, and tomarrow, and saturday night. Can't wait to start watching Adult Swim tonight.

Well then, I guess that is it for now.

Sweetheart dance

The doll up there is representing myself. That is the dress that I wore to the sweethear dance, and I thank my friend, I_X3_Topiono, for letting me borrow it. Thank you.

I went to the sweetheart dance last night. It was alright, didn't really get my $12 worth out of it. Left early with some friends. The music just...didn't get my groove thing on, if you know what I mean.

So yeah....
